# Quick start guides

Namirial SafeAccess provides access to Windows workstations through passwordless technology and Multi-Factor Authentication. As a second factor of authentication for employees and users, it is possible to use the device that best suits their needs, choosing to adopt a smartcard or token (USB or Bluetooth), the company badge already in use, an app installed on their smartphone, or a FIDO-certified device, either already in their possession or provided by the company.

With a single strong credential, users can be enabled to access workstations and different web and legacy applications.

The credential lifecycle can be managed centrally through software provided to system administrators, or independently by the user, who completes device registration and credential issuance via a self-enrollment app. A third credential management mode, completely transparent to both users and administrators, runs in the background according to rules set in Active Directory.

### Increased Security

Eliminating passwords, which are the primary target of hacker attacks, provides greater protection for information, enabling secure and agile work without putting the company at risk.

### GDPR Compliance

Access and usage events of IT systems are effectively tracked as required by GDPR, the European Regulation protecting users’ personal data.

### Improved User Experience

Each user can choose their preferred reminder for dual-factor access to workstations: smartphone, badge, FIDO device, signature smartcard, or USB token.

### Reduced Time and Costs

Automatic credential management frees the IT department from operations related to password recovery and workstation unlocking, resulting in significant savings in labor hours.

### Scalability and Flexibility

Thanks to individual microservices dedicated to specific operations, customers can choose which components to install, ensuring flexibility and seamless integration across all environments.

### Maximum Integration

Through exposed APIs, it is possible to integrate Multi-Factor Authentication into any developed solution without starting from scratch or implementing each authentication factor individually.
