# How a recipient receives an EviMail

This guide explains what recipients typically see when they receive an EviMail and how they read the certified communication directly in their inbox.

Exact wording, visual appearance, sender details, and response options can vary by issuer configuration, email client, and notification language. This guide describes common EviMail recipient flows, including direct email delivery and link-based access where enabled.

## What an EviMail looks like for a recipient

Depending on the issuer configuration, EviMail can deliver the certified content directly in the email message or provide access through a secure link from the message.

Depending on configuration, the email may include:

- the issuer name and subject of the communication
- a banner or visible indicator showing that the message is a certified communication
- attachments that are part of the communication
- a secure link or action button to continue the recipient flow, when configured
- accept or reject options, when the issuer enabled recipient response

## Before you start

Before using this guide, make sure that:

- you have access to the email inbox where the communication was sent
- you can open HTML email messages in your email client or webmail interface
- if attachments are included, you can preview or download files on your device
- if you have questions about the message content, you know who the issuer or sender is

## Open the email

1. Open the EviMail message in your inbox.
2. Review the sender name, subject, and message body.
3. Confirm that the message is the one you expect.
4. Read any banner or notice text that identifies the message as certified.

## Read the message and attachments

Depending on configuration, the certified content can appear directly in the email or be accessed from the secure flow linked from the message.

1. Read the message body directly in the email, or open the secure link if the issuer uses a linked flow.
2. Open any attachments or linked content the issuer included.
3. Download attachments if you need to keep a local copy.
4. Keep the message available until you finish any action requested by the issuer.

## Accept or reject the email if options are available

Some EviMails are informational only. Others allow you to respond to the communication.

If the message includes response options, they are completed in the recipient flow opened from the message:

1. Select **Accept** if you agree with the communication.
2. Select **Reject** if you do not agree with the communication.
3. Enter comments if the message allows or requires them.
4. Confirm your choice if the email shows a confirmation step.

If you do not see any response controls, the message may be read-only and may not require a formal reply.

## Expected result

You receive the certified communication in your inbox and, depending on configuration, read the content directly in the email or through the secure flow linked from it. You can then review any attachments and complete any response requested by the issuer. Namirial Notify can record that the message was sent, delivered, opened, and formally accepted or rejected.

## What can be recorded as evidence

For EviMail, Namirial Notify can record evidence for:

- message sending
- delivery to the recipient's mail provider or device
- message opening, where supported and configured
- formal acceptance or rejection, when those options are enabled

## Troubleshooting

### I cannot find the message in my inbox

**Problem:** You expected an EviMail, but you do not see it in the inbox.

**Cause:** The message may have been filtered into another folder, sent to a different address, or delayed by email delivery rules.

**Solution:**

1. Check `Spam`, `Junk`, `Promotions`, or other filtered folders.
2. Search your mailbox by issuer name or subject.
3. Confirm that you are checking the email address used by the sender.
4. Contact the issuer if you still cannot locate the message.

### The message does not display correctly

**Problem:** The email body, banner, or visual elements do not display as expected.

**Cause:** Your email client may be blocking HTML content or remote images.

**Solution:**

1. Open the message in full view in your email client or webmail interface.
2. Allow message images or HTML content if your security policy allows it.
3. Try another email client or browser if the layout is still incomplete.

### I cannot open an attachment

**Problem:** The message contains an attachment, but you cannot preview or open it.

**Cause:** The file may require a local download, a compatible application, or a different device.

**Solution:**

1. Download the attachment instead of previewing it inline.
2. Open the file with an application that supports the file type.
3. Try another device if the current one does not support the file format.
4. Contact the issuer if the attachment appears incomplete or unusable.

### I expected accept or reject options but I do not see them

**Problem:** You expected to respond to the email, but no acceptance or rejection controls are visible.

**Cause:** The issuer may not have enabled those options, or your email client may not be showing the full content.

**Solution:**

1. Open the message in full view in your email client.
2. Try another email client or webmail interface.
3. Contact the issuer if you need to confirm whether a formal response is required.

### I have a question about the message content

**Problem:** You need clarification about the communication or the requested action.

**Cause:** Namirial Notify delivers and records the EviMail, but the business content comes from the issuer.

**Solution:**

1. Identify the issuer name shown in the email.
2. Contact the issuer directly for clarification or next steps.
