SignCloud Remote Digital Signature Platform

1. Introduction

SignCloud is a cloud-based Remote Digital Signature System developed to enable secure, scalable and compliant digital signing without requiring physical smart cards or USB tokens.

Instead of storing private keys on user devices, SignCloud uses certified Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) hosted in secure data centers.

This architecture allows users to:

  • Sign documents from desktop and mobile devices
  • Access their digital identities remotely
  • Maintain strong security and sole control
  • Comply with European eIDAS requirements

2. Regulatory Compliance

SignCloud is designed to operate as a Qualified Signature Creation Device (QSCD) when deployed by a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP).

The platform complies with:

  • Regulation (EU) 910/2014 (eIDAS)
  • CEN EN 419 241 (TW4S Protection Profile)
  • CEN EN 419 221-5
  • FIPS 140-2 Level 3

This ensures legal validity of qualified electronic signatures.
