Register a custom alphanumeric sender to deliver SMS messages with your company name or brand instead of the default Namirial sender.
Every new SMS Gateway account uses the default alphanumeric sender Namirial. Messages sent to countries that support alphanumeric senders will be delivered from "Namirial".
Due to local regulations, some countries deliver messages using random short numbers or fixed senders that override any configured sender, regardless of your settings.
To register a custom alphanumeric sender, it must meet the following requirements:
- Maximum 11 characters
- Letters (A–Z, a–z) and numbers (0–9) only — no special characters or spaces
- No generic keywords such as "verify", "otp", "code", or "sms" and other common verification terms
- Must match your company name or brand
- Requires an authorization document signed by an authorized representative
Follow these steps to register your custom alphanumeric sender:
- Download the authorization template: auth_trademark_SMS.docx
- Fill in the template with:
- Your company name and legal information
- The requested alphanumeric sender
- Contact information
- Convert the completed document to PDF and apply a digital signature. The document must be signed by an authorized company representative.
- Open a support ticket via the Namirial support portal with the following information:
- Your SMS account username
- A description of the requested sender
- The signed authorization PDF attached
The registration process typically takes 1 to 3 weeks, depending on provider approval times. You will be notified when your custom sender is activated.
Some countries have specific regulations that may affect sender delivery:
Random Short Numbers: Some countries replace alphanumeric senders with random short numbers for regulatory reasons.
Fixed Sender Replacement: Certain countries use fixed senders that replace custom alphanumeric senders.
- Advance registration required: Some countries require senders to be registered in advance with local telecommunications authorities
Contact support for specific country requirements and restrictions.
Once your custom sender is registered and activated, all messages sent from your account will automatically use it in supported countries.
No API changes required - The custom sender is configured at the account level and applies to all messages automatically.
