# Manage passkeys

Register a passkey to use **Sign in with Passkey**, or remove one you no longer want associated with your account.

## Before you begin

[Sign in](/products/mynamirial/manuals/login) and open [Security](https://my.namirial.app/security). Locate **Passkey**. Have the device or credential manager you want to use available.

The screenshots show the English interface in the demo environment. Select an image to view it at full size. Browser and device prompts may differ from the examples.

## 1. Start registration

Select **ADD PASSKEY**. On **Register a passkey**, review **Sign out from other devices** and select it if you want to request sign-out from other devices. Select **Create passkey** to continue.

## 2. Choose where to save the passkey

The options in this example were observed in **Google Chrome on macOS**. The browser, operating system and passkey provider determine the available dialogs; Safari, Edge and Firefox may use different controls.

Choose one of the locations offered by your browser. Options may include **Google Password Manager**, **iCloud Keychain**, **Use a phone, tablet or security key**, and **Your Chrome profile**. These options depend on your browser and device; they are not a fixed list for every user.

## 3. Complete device verification

Check the Namirial account and destination shown in the prompt, then complete the requested verification. For example, Google Password Manager may request **Touch ID**. **Save another way**, when available, lets you choose another storage method.

## 4. Check the result

Return to **Passkey** in Security. The registered passkey appears in the list, with **REMOVE** beside it. The example labels the entry **Chrome**. You can then use [passkey sign-in](/products/mynamirial/manuals/login#sign-in-with-a-passkey).

The new passkey is listed in Passkey with its removal action.
The example also shows email and app verification still listed after the passkey was added. Manage those methods separately in [Two-step verification](/products/mynamirial/manuals/security).

## Remove a passkey

1. Open **Passkey** in **Security**.
2. Identify the entry you want to remove and select **REMOVE**.
3. Complete any confirmation requested, then check that the entry is no longer listed.

Before removing it, make sure you can access the account with another method.

## If registration does not complete

If you cancel a browser prompt or encounter an error, return to **Passkey** and check the list before trying again. If the passkey is not listed, registration has not been confirmed in the account.
